Latvia motorway user charge is coming… are you ready?
The Motorway User Charge is a time based charge to use Latvia’s main roads, which is also called an electronic Vignette. The system is quite similar to the current Eurovignette system that runs in BENELUX, Denmark and Sweden. Anyone who drives or operates a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) weighing 3.5 tonnes or more will need to pay the user charge before the vehicle enters the country.
What do I have to pay?
The daily charge for a vehicle is between € 8 and € 11 (between €400 and €925 per year), depending on the type of vehicle, number of axles and weight. You should pay in advance by the day, week, month or year.
How can I pay?
The best way is to go to www.lvvignette.eu and pay by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. There is no need to register.Fleet and/or fuel cards will not be accepted! It is also possible to buy vignettes in selected locations in Latvia. You can do this at a fuel station or at the sales office of the Latvian government. Multi Service Tolls believes that at this moment booking and payment through the website is the most flexible option and offers the best control for trucking companies.
