Toll in Germany
It is not yet final, but the German Maut seems to be extended to trucks of 7.5 tonnes rather than 12 tonnes. If and when this is going to be entered exactly is not known at this time.
Toll in the Netherlands
The Dutch Transport Minister Schultz has filed a draft law regarding tolling. This draft law is limited to two projects, namely the Blankenburger tunnel to be built and the extension of the A15 to the A12. Neither project will be completed before 2019.
There will be no use of toll plazas due to lack of space, but they will use the so-called “free-flow” technique.
Why toll? The main reason is that both projects can be financed and completed with the use of tolls.
